This is the 2.5 (USENET) version of the Elm Mail System

   Much discussion on Elm including interim bug fixes, work arounds
and future plans occurs in the Usenet news group comp.mail.elm. 

The current version of elm can be found at ftp.virginia.edu in /pub/elm

Limitations/Problems you might encounter in compiling and installing Elm:

Solaris 2.X:

 You must have /usr/ccs/bin in your PATH.  Elm 2.5 will not
 compile with /usr/ucb/cc, it will work with gcc.
 
 You must say no to using flock().
